Galaxy is a quintessential cover band hailing from the vibrant and musically rich South Austin. The band, comprised of five seasoned musicians, has been setting the local stages ablaze with their intoxicating renditions of 50s-90s classics for the past 15 years. Galaxy has several originals too. Walking Down Congress is Galaxy's own reinterpretation of John Mayall's classic tune, all about older and weirder Austin!

The band's sound is led by the captivating vocals of Quita Sanchez-Navarro, whose soulful renditions of rock and R&B classics transport listeners straight back to the golden age of rock and roll. Her powerful voice hints at the influences of powerhouse vocalists like Linda Ronstadt and Stevie Nicks, but Quita's sound is uniquely her own.

Complementing Quita's vocals is George Hadash on lead guitar. George is a virtuoso, his skillful finger work and deep understanding of classic rock n' roll have made him a favorite. He is known for his electrifying solos that often leave the audience in awe.

Phillip Fulton, the bassist, lays the foundation of the band's retro sound. His steady rhythm and deep grooves add layers of depth to the band's music, tying together all the elements seamlessly. Phillip's bass lines are the backbone of the band, driving their sound forward and keeping audiences on their feet.

Ken Atwater, the drummer, is the driving rhythm behind Galaxy. His dynamic drumming style, blending both power and precision, brings the energy of classic rock alive. Ken's drum beats are like the heartbeat of the band, pulsating through each song and keeping the band in perfect sync.

Tom Williams, the keyboardist, adds depth and atmosphere to the band's sound with their masterful playing. Tom's skills enable the band to cover a wide range of classic rock and R&B music, from the funky and soulful tunes to the more psychedelic and progressive tracks.
